Objectives

Our objective is to support people with an aquired head injury, or other brain damage, such as stroke.

The service has a "whole person" approach, aiming to meet carefully considered individual need, to maximise stimulation and independence, within a relaxed atmosphere.

We also endeavour to offer support and advice to familes and friends.

History

Our first unit in Gorleston was opened in 1994 with just one client. The whole venture was conceived, planned and set up by an enthusiastic band of volunteers.

Gorleston now has a paid staff team of 7 who are assisted by a number of volunteers, together they support an average of 20 clients per day, 4 days a week.

In March 2002, we opened our Norwich unit, they too have expanded since opening. Their staff team totals 8, together with volunteers, support an average of 18 clients per day, 4 days a week.

In October 2005 our Kings Lynn unit opened, has 4 paid members of staff, supported by volunteers who provided services to an average 12 clients per day, 3 days a week.
